2026 – Legacy Liveaboard Booking & Cancellation Policy

Our Commitment to You

At Legacy Liveaboard, we aim to make your Red Sea adventure smooth, safe, and enjoyable. These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and peace of mind for all guests while maintaining the standards expected of an international liveaboard operation. All inclusions and exclusions for each trip are detailed in the trip brochure.

1. Online Booking Requirement

All reservations must be made online via our official booking platform.

At the time of booking, guests are required to upload the deposit confirmation along with a clear copy of their passport (for international guests) or Egyptian national ID – front and back (for Egyptian residents) in order to secure their place on the trip.

Bookings will only be considered confirmed once both the deposit and valid identification documents have been successfully uploaded.

2. Deposit & Balance Payments

● A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to confirm your place.

● The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to departure.

● If full payment is not received by the due date, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

Payment Methods

● All payments are made in EUR (€) via bank transfer.

● For Egyptian residents, the trip cost will be converted to EGP at the bank exchange rate on the day of payment, and payment may be made via InstaPay, bank transfer and credit card.

● All prices and refunds are processed in the original currency of payment, minus any applicable bank or transfer fees.

3. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to: [email protected]

Verbal or social media messages are not accepted as official cancellation.

The effective cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice.

● More than 60 days before departure – Refund deposit (Admin fee deducted)

● 31-60 days before departure – Deposit non-refundable

● 30 days or less / no show – 100% Trip cost charged

A minimum administration fee of €50 per person may apply to cancellations made more than 60 days

before departure.

No refunds will be made for:

● Missed dives

● Early departure

● Guest-initiated cancellation after the trip starts

● Delays caused by weather or port authority restrictions

4. Rebooking & Transfer Options

At the discretion of the operator, guests cancelling between 60 and 30 days before departure may:

● Transfer their booking to another guest, or

● Apply their payment as credit toward a future trip (subject to availability)

5. Medical & Emergency Cancellations

In case of a proven medical emergency preventing travel, Legacy may, at its discretion, offer partial credit toward a future trip. Official documentation (e.g. doctor’s certificate) is required.

6. Refund Processing Time

Where a refund has been approved, it will be processed within 30 days of confirmation, using the same payment method and currency as the original transaction, minus any applicable bank or transfer fees.

7. Force Majeure & Operator Cancellations

Legacy Liveaboard / Deco Red Sea Liveaboards – Legacy Yacht reserves the right to modify, delay, or cancel

the trip due to circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to):

● Weather condition / route change

● Acts of God (fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, etc.)

● War, political unrest, or hostilities

● Government restrictions or port closure

● Mechanical failure or technical difficulties

● Unsafe or impracticable conditions

In such cases, we may:

● Offer an alternative itinerary

● Reschedule the trip

● Provide a full refund of payments made

● Legacy cannot be held responsible for any external costs incurred by the guest, including flights, hotels, or personal arrangements.

Route changes may occur at the Captain’s discretion, whose decision is final for safety reasons. Specific dive sites cannot be guaranteed. If unfavorable conditions prevent access to planned sites, no compensation or refund will be provided.

8. Boat Change / Minimum Numbers

Each trip operates on a minimum number of bookings. If this minimum is not met, guests may be:

● Rebooked onto another liveaboard of similar standard

● Offered an alternative date or vessel

● Refunded in full if no alternative is possible

9. Insurance Recommendation

All guests are strongly advised to hold valid travel and diving insurance for the full duration of the trip.

Coverage should include, at minimum:

● Medical expenses

● Decompression chamber treatment

● Emergency evacuation

● Repatriation

10. Guest Conduct & Responsibilities

Guests must be physically, mentally, and emotionally fit to dive and participate.

Legacy reserves the right to limit or prohibit diving for any guest who:

● Is unfit to dive

● Shows disrespect for marine park rules

● Harms marine life

● Consumes alcohol between dives

● Demonstrates unsafe or disruptive behaviour

Guests are responsible for any damage to boat property or equipment and must compensate at current market value. Failure to comply with regulations or standards of behaviour may result in immediate termination of participation without refund.

11. Price Adjustments & Marine Park Fees

Trip prices are based on current operating conditions and may change due to:

● Fuel price increase

● Exchange rate fluctuations

● New or increased government or marine park fees

Any official fee increase imposed after booking will be borne by the guest/charterer. A minimum of 14 days’ notice will be given for any surcharge. If the total increase exceeds 10%, guests may cancel and receive a full refund.

12. Minimum Diving Requirements

The following minimum logged dives apply:
● BDE, Rocky & Zabargad – 50 Dives – PADI AOWC or equivalent

● Wrecks – 20 Dives – PADI AOWC or equivalent

● North Brothers – 30 Dives – PADI AOWC or equivalent
● North – No minimum Dives – PADI OWC or equivalent
● Fury Shoals – 20 Dives – PADI AOWC or equivalent

13. Rooming Policy

Legacy Liveaboard reserves the right to revise room allocations displayed on the booking platform in the event of last-minute cancellations or operational changes.

14. Children Onboard Policy

● Children under 4 years old are not permitted onboard for safety reasons.

● Children aged 4 and above must be supervised at all times by a parent or a designated responsible adult.

Pricing for Children:

● Under 6 years: Free of charge (sharing parents’ cabin)

● 6–12 years: 50% discount

● 12 years and above: Full price applies

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Egyptian law, with any disputes handled under local jurisdiction.
